What is Polar Dollars?

Polar Dollars is a prepaid, stored-value/debit account that is accessible via your Polar ID Card. It is the convenient, cashless way to pay on and off-campus.

What is the difference between Dining Dollars and Polar Dollars?

Your dining dollars are available for use ON CAMPUS ONLY. Polar Dollars can be funded and used at participating off-campus locations.

Where can I use Polar Dollars on campus?

Dining Dollars my be used at the White Bear Inn, Northern on Main, the Dining Hall and Barnes and Noble Bookstore.

Where can I use Polar Dollars off campus?

How do I deposit into my Polar Dollars account?

Students may deposit in person ($25 minimum) at the Controller's Office, or by mailing a deposit form found here and funds to:

Can I withdrawal money from my Polar Dollars account?

Polar Dollars may be withdrawn, by written request, during the month of May.

Are there any restrictions on what I can buy with Polar Dollars?

Yes- you may not purchase alcohol or cigarettes using Polar Dollars. No exceptions for those over 21 years of age.

What do I do if I lose my Polar ID card?
